I can see the Neil Young connection. I like them, I just wish i could afford one.

ummmm hello-- neil had a white falcon in the early days and recorded the hell out of it---- i had never even seen a white falcon before i saw pics of neil with one----
not trying to be a jerk-- but neil was playing one when john from rhcp was in diapers if even born--- any neil fan knows one of his favorite guitars behind ole black is his white falcon
i think he traded a car for it or something in the 60's
I'm glad there are a lot of guitar players pursuing technique as diligently as they possibly can, it leaves this whole other area open to people like me.

I think I had heard that story, the one about him trading the guitar. I can understand people relating them to other people though.

Thanks for the input people.  I think i'm going for the Filtertron model mainly because I have actually played it, it is very vintage accurate and was the wolf to arrive at my door in the future it has best resale value because it is unmodded.  It was a truly spectacular play, I was in some was surprised that the Japanese have raised their game to arguably above even pre Baldwin Gretsch (certainly more consistent), but if Yamaha can make world class concert pianos then I'm sure Terada can.

Check out this factory tour

Next step is some calls and emails to get the best deal.

I didn't know about the Falcon RHCP connection; I filter all news of them because I really can't stand their wacky stylings.

I thought he mostly used a country gent...

...according to this, he used both.
