Mint to me seems a bit paradoxical on a shiny new surf green and blends better when the finish is a bit faded like this one

I like the parchment, and you're inspiring me to follow suit. I just acquired a 60's surf green lacquered JM and was thinking the same thing about how WHITE the white pickguard is... I have two Strats with Fender mint guards (a 3c sunburst/maple and Vintage Hot Rod in Oly White/rosewood) and they look fantastic (especially the white strat) so I am a fan... but I know chasing the right mint green is potentially a rabbit hole and I like how the parchment pops just a little more without starkly contrasting.
I like the pearloids in this thread too, but I'm going to start looking for a nice parchment one.

... OP, where did you get your parchment pickguard? EDIT: NM, I read with more comprehension. Got one coming from STARTosphere now.
