jaguar update.

so, i missed the delivery of the plates..... went to the post office, they wanted explanation of what was in the package and what "jaguar plates" means. they said they looked suspicious. so i explain they are control plates for a guitar..... they didnt get it. after 30 mins, they got it. so i asked if i could take them home..... i got asked to come back the next day since they dont give anything over after 12:30.... it was 12:33

i'll have to get up early for the plates.

but, update on the yanderemaster. i got the paint. it's this nice shade of pink. slightly brighter than shell pink.... i took in a picture of yuno gasai to get the shade right. i'll post pictures when i can.

the pink paint i have for my yanderemaster.... next to my shell pink mug.

oh and update on the jaguar. ive decided yet again to change up the wiring. my idea is series/parallel switch, on/off for each pickup and the strangle.

In America, people at post offices get shot for that. It's a thing here.

The least you poor deprived Brits can do to a fuckhead like that is stab him in the balls.

Last time I was in England I bought an old EHX micro synth. It took me like 45 minutes to get it through security controls on the airport... :fp:

I was glad it wasn't a modular synth though... :D

i feel his pain. i once borrowed a modular from a friend, when i wasnt looking. my bandmate gemma would move one patch lead. she's probs tempted to do the same

i shaved it off last year for charity and amazingly, i like how it looks now...... plus im 26 and im noticeably going bald. figured why fight it and just shave my head every 2 weeks.

Re: sean's build log (now with bullet mustang)

Post by s_mcsleazy » Sun Apr 08, 2018 7:15 am

well i managed to get a good deal on a squier bullet mustang. i sold some unwanted pedals and got way more than i was expecting. but yes. im modding the fuck out of it. well....... maybe modding the frick out of it. the tear down was pretty easy.
Image
the best part of any new guitar is the pealing of the cellophane
Image
the pickguard is whiter than your average eminem fan
Image
with a route that big, i could go swimming...... get it?

i tested the pickups. they seem to both be the same impedance. which is strange, i've tried several bullet mustangs, some had the neck and bridge pickups mixed up, some had 2 neck pickups and this one appears to have 2 bridge pickups....... not that it matters since im already trying to sell them. the fretboard and neck is as dry as fuck. i also noticed the skunk stripe is a bit high around 5th fret. nothing i cant sort out. safe to say, ive seen worse guitars at this price range but seen better.

what i've done already? well within 20 mins of getting it home, i changed the stupid box switch for a better switch, changed the 250k pot for a 500k. soldered in a 8.2k mustang pickup for the bridge. set the guitar up with real strings (not the wimpy 9's) gave it a mild fret dressing and prepared it for what is to come

what is to come? well i plan on putting on a japanese sized pickguard (i read they are the same size but with some modifications, i can make it work) a artec hotrail for the neck (in black) im going to paint a pickguard red OR find a cheap red tort pickguard. finally, the crowing touch.
