Is that neck from a Jagmaster?
It may not work on a shortscale body

okay cool.
Is the distance from the 12th fret to the bridge the same as the distance from the nut to the 12th fret?

If I remember correctly, the 24" scale Squire Jagmasters (for some reason) did not have a Jaguar neck.s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:55 ama tiny bit off (like 2mm)CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:40 amokay cool.

I'm surprised it lines up because these Jagmaster necks are conversion necks. Which means they are 24" scale necks designed to fit on a full-scale body.sirspens wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 5:29 pmIf I remember correctly, the 24" scale Squire Jagmasters (for some reason) did not have a Jaguar neck.s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:55 ama tiny bit off (like 2mm)CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:40 amokay cool.

Re: sean's jaguar build..... now with paint
I love the look of Jaguars: all the chrome, how it's only two pickups and still looks very full. But, am I the only one who thinks Jaguars look better UNDER the pickguard? To me, nothing quite as sexy as a well-cut Jaguar body. I want to do a Jaguar with a clear pickguard and plates

That would look good too, but I'm saying that I like the way all the channels look bare. I'd try to get a Jag that looked bare while finished.sirspens wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 9:34 pmPlates and no pickguard.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:54 pmI love the look of Jaguars: all the chrome, how it's only two pickups and still looks very full. Re: sean's jaguar build..... now with paint
update. i found the switchplate in my spares draw. im swapping the mustang bridge i have for the adjustable bridge on my bandmates mustang. it has white saddles. got the trem in the mail today.
weirdly, i've been using black screws on the guitar to counter with the chrome and white. it's just small things but i like how it looks.
at this point, the build is just running into small parts that are slowing me down.... except the pickups. those are the last major part i need. im still thinking of getting the sentell ones but at the same time, i'd be happy with a set from the old CIJ jaguars if they are the right price.

Re: sean's jaguar build..... now with paint
From what I remember reading it varys. The original jagmasters had jaguar necks then for while later on they got brought back with a 25" scale length then more recently they went back to 24" but with a conversion neck...CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:05 pmI'm surprised it lines up because these Jagmaster necks are conversion necks. Re: sean's jaguar build..... now with paint
ok, it's a conversion neck. i stuck an e string on there and the only way i could get it to intonate was to move a tom way back until it was off the pickguard. looks like i need a new neck.
