Whoa, I was worried there for a while with all the sparkly poo-colored paintscheme going in but this looks absolutly stunning..And real clean woodwork to boot..

This is it after two rub-downs with 600 paper between initial coats and two final colour coats, ready for clear. Am shooting amid absolute filth and mess in my workshop, but have decided to leave everything be so as not to disturb the dust too much. Seems ok so far, miraculously.
Realised it's more-or-less the colour of my bike, minus half of Epping Forest...

Love that colour! Are you going to stick with the pearloid scratchplate or go with something bespoke?

Not a fan of pearloid guards at all, so no, I'm planning on finding something else. Logic says it needs an orangey-red tort, but I'm not up for spending Spitfire money, and I'd rather do something unique I think. I wondered about something like Paul Smith/Gerhard Richter stripes...UlricvonCatalyst wrote:Love that colour! Are you going to stick with the pearloid scratchplate or go with something bespoke?

Colour looks cool Ben!
On a side note what are you using for spraying these days? HVLP turbine or a compressor? I'm looking at getting myself set up out here...

It's super-basic, and I prefer gravity-fed guns, but it's served me very well, and seems really well priced now, although it is basically just a cheap hoover with a £15 gun attached. I'm not sure what nozzle it comes with (I think I bought a couple more to give me options) but I always use a 1.5mm one for guitars. The 1mm spits a bit with lacquer, I find.

Thanks! Interesting... I've been looking athe Fuji turbines which are a bit £££, so good to hear these are decent too. You certainly get great results with it.

I love the look, does the green show up depending how you look at it?
