All thoughts and opinions welcome!

I'm thinking about doing 2 Rickenbacker styles. One 360-ish called the 628, and this one I will probably call the K4.

I can't help thinking it would look best with a toaster or Dynasonic in the neck and a Supro pickup in the bridge, a la Ry Cooder.

Let me know what you think!

Cheers

"Pure fucking class and bad-assery perfectly blended!", is what I think.

Look, I would have sex with that guitar.

You're killin' me here with all these designs, because you keep knocking it out of the park and I don't have money or room for all of them when you're up and running.

But so far this is my favorite of your designs. I'd put in Marr wiring and different pickups myself, but that body and pickguard? Oh my god, yes. Get in mah pants.

I'd be delighted to be able to buy that tailpiece on its own, as well. That's a good one for custom builds.

That's beautiful. That pickup combo is a great combination, too. My ideal

Fuck me that's beautiful. If it were chambered and double bound I wouldn't be angry, and maybe lose the lone toggle switch by the knobs (the Marr switch would be great). But yeah, pure sexiness.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Oh man, you just keep churning them out. I like that even more than the Mosrite model we talked about. Personally I'd go for another JM pickup in the neck, then lose the Jag plates and have the guard look more like a Combo 600, but that looks great.

Wow! That's a really well considered fusion of 2 classic guitars. Seriously well done.

Hows about some kind of white detail on the headstock, a la Ric? A white logo running up the middle, maybe?

Bridge should be a Curtis Novak CAT5 so you can use the switching

Maybe a GFS Goldfoil strat pickup in the neck:

although I love the look of the white Jaguar pickup.

Having a '72 Custom Tele, I would only swap positions on the humb and the coil. Other than that, I'm masturbating to it as I type, which is quite tough ???

I love it!! I also think it would be amazing as that exact combo in a bass (Ricken-Jag-Bass) as Jaguar basses are already dead sexy...

I've always struggled with the aesthetic of Ricks, but this is one I wouldn't mind playing. Wouldn't hate seeing a bass version!
