It looks really good. I like the lengthwise laminations. It's a nice touch.

It'll be fun to see what he chooses.
The Alder is pretty nice. Perfect grain with no knots. A transparent finish would look cool, even though it's not usually my preference. Vintage white always looks great with black pickguards IMO.

I think butterscotch blonde would work nicely on it. Also Mary Kay white

I'm reworking a Mustang I made a few years ago. I Wasn't quite happy with it. I have cut a new pickguard for it, moving the bridge pickup closer to the bridge.

That is really nice. I don't know if I said it before, but that little angle behind the bridge humbucker, just MAKES the look. So classy.
