It’s incredible. Super light. I love the faded orange MJT finish

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
I wasn't going to share this yet.
But I've been working on the Cross "KayMaster"
Made from Rescued Tasmanian King Billy (an old table)
Similar to Basswood in weight and density but has much nicer grain and smell.
The pickguard you see still has the protective layer on it. It's clear polycarbonate which I'll paint the back gold.
Might even do a pinstripe around the edge.
I'm going natural for this build but with maybe a slight brown burst around the edges.

That's LOVELY Cross!!! I love the shape and everything, especially how the tremolo plate complements the back and inside edge of the guard!!!

It was an easy decision to install the Jag/Jazz trem for that exact reason.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Something about the pickguard shape looks cozy and inviting. Based on that alone, I bet it would be comfy to playCROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 10:46 pmThanks heaps!

I hope so.
It was fun carving the belly contour on the front of the body for a change.

I didn't even notice that! It's subtle, or maybe just the lighting. That's awesome!!CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 11:31 pmI hope so.
