Re: Shadoweclipse13's New Project Thread!
Thanks man!! I didn't even think of it, but it does kinda have an Airline vibe to it!! I haven't had a humbucker guitar in a while, and never got along with the Seymour Duncans I had for it then. This time should be different, with very low resistance vintage-style humbuckers. I'm definitely excited for that one.

More progress on the Eurorack synth case! Added a backing board (with hole for IEC power jack), and drilled vent holes in bottom and backing board to keep everything cool. Will give it a final sanding this weekend, and stain/finish it.
Side note: I've never understood the female obsession with covering things with ugly shit, i.e. seasonal table cloths or those dumb 24"x30" area rugs that do nothing. Please don't think that tablecloth is something I would personally do, as it's not mine!

Dude, that's so cool...
Two things though:
1) you should take apart every electronic device in your house, including the TV, washer dryer, dishwasher and all the lighting circuits; and re-mount them and face them in sci-fi style switch array cabinets. Bonus points for unnecessarily having to use patch cables to turn things on.
2) that table cloth needs to find its way onto a paisley telecaster
That will be all

I love you Dan I've often thought about doing stuff like that for a future home. Here's what I'm thinking...Deed_Poll wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 2:59 amyou should take apart every electronic device in your house, including the TV, washer dryer, dishwasher and all the lighting circuits; and re-mount them and face them in sci-fi style switch array cabinets. Living room, complete with painted slanted vertical steel beams.
Banks of controls, TV, and entertainment center combo like this...
Bedroom like this. LOVE those rounded corners on the built-in shelves Maybe with UFO-costumed lady-friend as well?
Maybe something like the Space: 1999 hallway control tower in the kitchen just incase I can't get to something in time. Bonus for built-in video screen communications through this too!
It probably wouldn't be too bad on a Paisley Tele. I'd probably have less of a problem with it if it wasn't a green base with print, but something like burnt orange, red, or brown. And I didn't have to move it anytime I want to eat some food at the table.

Re: Shadoweclipse13's New Project Thread!
That coffee table is by one of my favourite designers / manufacturers, Richard Young for Merrow Associates
I was fortunate enough to score a matching set of these in Rio Rosewood veneer from the late '60s that somebody tagged wrong on eBay
The grain on mine are not nearly so impressive! Mine look more like this but are a full set. It's nice that they take consecutive bookmatched layers of veneer so the bottoms match together, and both match the top.

That's amazing!!!
Also, I just put in the order for OSG's good friend Spitfire for the guard for my Jag Bass. Mailed off the template this morning. Shit is getting real now

Hey J! How's it going on these? Did you get the screws in the mail for the bridge mounting?
Cheers!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's New Project Thread!
Kinda slow at the moment, but that's just because of my insane work schedule that I only have 6 more days of. Woo! I got the screws in the mail!! I put the neck on the Bass already top. Just need tuners for it, and to get the guard (Spitfire should be starting on it this weekend I think!), and then I can mount the pickup and start wiring!
The POST might take a bit longer since I still have to still the holes in the neck, and don't want to fuck it up on half sleep. Haha. In the next two weeks, I will have them playable!!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's New Project Thread!
Just as a reminder, this is the bass I'm building:
Jaguar Bass from Deed_Poll.
Well...
The pickguard that's in this picture is a template. I'm planning olympic white for the body, and have wanted VERY orange tort for awhile. So, I went to OSG's favorite vintage-style tort maker: Spitfire. He emailed me this morning to say that it's done and will be shipped very soon!
Onto the teaser:
I think Mark knocked it out of the park with the orange look!!! Also, I feel like this is a right of passage around here: my first tort

What pickup are you putting in there? It looks like a MM with JM tabs on it...LOVE the shape of the guard and the guard/plate combo!
