Lucite!!!!!
I'd love to find a Lucite Jag body to build a guitar with. Anyone know where I could find one? Or who I could pay to build me one?

Re: Lucite!!!!!
it's not quite right, but fernandes and barclay made some clear bodied jaguar/jazzmaster inspired guitars.

Re: Lucite!!!!!
They are the BEST guys to deal with. I have bought like maybe 4 guitars from them. And visited the shop, back in January.alexdm wrote:http://www.tcgakki.com/items05/tc050915.html

I once had an Ampeg Dan Armstrong http://www.ampeg.com/products/daplexi/a ... DAG_LG.jpg
It weighed 200 pounds and not fun to play due to the weight.

Re: Lucite!!!!!
I had one of the original Dan Armstrongs back in the early 70's. I agree... much too heavy to play with any comfort. Tho... also quite cool. I probably sold it for $350 or so. So sorry that I did given their price now.

Re: Lucite!!!!!
It'd be heavy as shit. I found a lucite strat body on evilbay a while back. Had a neck laying around and decided to put them together. It's twice as heavy as any of my other guitars, so I don't play it a whole lot. But, it is cool to look at.cbm wrote:I wonder how heavy a lucite Jaguar or Jazzmaster would be?

Re: Lucite!!!!!
This thing is cool! I wonder how the lucite headstock is attached to the wooden neck? I always thought the old ampeg ones looked cool with the woodgrain pickguard. Its like the negative of a "normal" guitar!debudavid wrote:it's not quite right, but fernandes and barclay made some clear bodied jaguar/jazzmaster inspired guitars.
