Does it still have the small/subtle ridges/texture like most anodizing does?

Have any pictures of one of the clear anodized guards? I'm thinking that a vintage-yellowed Firemist silver with clear anodized guard would look KILLER.
Good question. I was wondering about the clear/silvery anodized aluminum as well. Does it retain any metallic shininess?
I ask because I ordered one off eBay from Eden Guitars for my Jaguar and I was surprised to find it very matte and dull looking. More of a textured gray than anything resembling metallic.

Does having a metal pickguard change the sound? They look incredible!

So, I'm just goofing around and I come across these pickguards from a shop in Illinois called Perle Guitars. They make laser engraved anodized guards and I'm really digging the look of the black paisley guards. Unfortunately they don't seem to make the Jazzmaster guards I'm looking for.

Is this something @gdayj could do? I would very much love to support another OSGer if I can.

I can’t help wit laser engraving sorry.
You could check in with your local trophy shop or engravers, see what it would cost to have them engrave a pattern on a plain guard?
