White witch hat knobs
Hi guys,
At the moment I'm modding my CIJ with new parts and I'm searching for white witch hat knobs but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Are these even available? I'm also questioning if they will even fit on CIJ pots. Your help is very well apreciated

Ok, my bad. I should really use the 'search' function more often

The CIJ pot shaft will be to thin for them... maybe it's time to upgrade your pots to CTS ones...

I put them on my new CIJ just tonight...No probs, just line the set screw up with the split in the shaft and tighten 'er down. You have to hold the knob level while tightening, or it will wind up crooked.k o y l wrote: The CIJ pot shaft will be to thin for them... maybe it's time to upgrade your pots to CTS ones...

Don't you try NOT to aim for the split? That's what I always did. In fact, I would nudge pots slightly one way or the other so I wouldn't hit the split. I like the 10s to be facing me when I play...

I like the 10 facing me, as well. However, I was told to put the screw in the split, forcing the halves outward creating tension to hold the knob in place. I guess if it works the other way, that's better. At least the numbers would be in the correct position.

That IS an interesting technique. Let me ask you...does attaching the knobs this way allow them to spin in a perfect circle as opposed to an elipse? Probably yet another thing that bugs only me...RumorsOFsurF wrote: I like the 10 facing me, as well. Unfortunately, they still move in an ellipse.berlinbetty wrote:That IS an interesting technique. With all this talk about witch hat knobs, I'm starting to feel the need to get some myself. I saw a pic of an Ocean Turq. JM with witch hats, and it looked pretty good.
