Has anyone ever put a Jazzmaster bridge on a Mustang?!?

Has anyone ever put a Jazzmaster bridge on a Mustang?!?

Post by berlinbetty » Tue Aug 14, 2007 3:39 pm

I have a 1971 Mustang that I have a love/hate relationship with and one of the things I don't like about it is those barrel saddles.  I go back and forth about getting rid of it, but if I kept it, I would definitely put a Jazzmaster bridge in there.  I just find them more comfortable, especially when palm muting...
One more guitar, then I'll practice!

That's crazy talk.  But if you wanna swap your mustang bridge for a shiny new JM bridge, pm me.

Now THAT's crazy talk.  Though I do dig Mustangs - I just refinished one that belongs to my bass player - it had been hippy-ized with engravings and bad paint.  I am not a fan of the Mustang  tremelo - the only way I could get it adjusted and useable was to get some stiffer springs from Pep Boys and use 12's. Otherwise it would dive like a Floyd Rose and go instantly out of tune.    Love those barrel bridges though.
