Did back of neck with 0000 steel wool

hi all

just a note for anyone nervous/curious about doing a flatter finish neck
i just did this and it was very sucessful (6 month old cij jm)

its a very gentle procedure and just matted down the back,
i just put the body in a bag and sealed (dust on pups syndrome)
used small pieces and just rubbed up and down,
refresh the pieces as they will fill with white dust quickly,
dry cloth wipe down, thats it

very happy with the result,
much silkier,faster feel neck without a doubt,

took 5 minutes, cost a couple of euro and hardly "destructive"

well worth it

Great idea bagging the body.  Good solution for keeping them metal bits from the pickcups.
