mint/parchment/white PG's
Got a Parchment PG for JM from Jeannie's Pickguards today and wanted you guys to see the difference between them...
The parcment one is made of the same material Fender uses (stated the guy on J.P.) for $trats and J-basses and so on...
Does anyone know why Fender does not make the parchment version for JM's and Jag's themselves??
The mint and white are aftermarket (allparts I think)

Re: mint/parchment/white PG's
Parchment is a good mid-way point between mint green (which can be too greenish, especially the aftermarket sources) and shocking new white. Me like.
Warmoth sells sheets of parchment pickguard stock for $23 (10" X 12") and $30 (10" X 16"). I was thinking of ordering a sheet or two and having them sent straight to dazbootman (eBay pickguard cutter). I wrote him and asked him about this and he's fine with people providing their own materials. I ended up dropping a project so I let it fall by the wayside but I might have him do a few more for me next month. His prices are great (cca $20 per guard with my own material) and his stuff is really top-notch. He knows his stuff, too - no confusion between MIA and MIJ stuff, for example.
Does anyone else sell sheets of parchment material?

Wow - the parchment fom Jeannie's looks pretty good. I might have to snag one of those eventually. I'm glad you posted that - otherwise I never would have known they had that with their website being as confusing as it is.

I love the colour! Looks great... On that shot, though, it seems like the routings for the roller pots and the circuit switch are larger/rounder than the other guards. How does it fit with the electronics? Have you tried it on yet?Jazzprod wrote: Ok, so I got the camera working again: here is a pic in the sun...

Re: mint/parchment/white PG's
No, I haven't. It's true though, the roller pot openings and the switch opening are quite roughly hand made, and not so precise... I think the roller pot holes are all-right, but my main worry is the opening for the switch. It's really a bit too large and not straight....
I know more when I've mounted it.
