David Barfuss Jazzmaster Pickups
These are avaible through his website and sometimes appear on ebay germany directly from him.
Anyone tried them? Theyre modelled after a pair of 68s he rewound.
He has a good rep. with his Strat pickups.

Re: David Barfuss Jazzmaster Pickups
I think thats the only pair of JM pickups he could get his hands on to make a copy.
The price is 150 Euro including covers by the way. A little pricey imho but its always
nice to see more people offering them. More flavours cant hurt

I think that's a little pricey for a copy of 68's, even if they're exact copies. I'm not a guitar-builder, but I could easily lend a pre-CBS Jazzmaster and it wouldn't cost me nothing.

Aren't these the pickups which had the pole pieces like a strat pickups has, instead of all flush with the pickup cover?

Just found it:
I was a little wrong, theyre only 125 Euro without covers, sounds more reasonable.

I bet they sound great, but I don't know why I'd buy this when I can get an accurate copy of a preCBS-era pickup for much less from Lollar or Novak.

Much less? I paid 140 Euro for my Novak Set shipped. The price of 125 is for a pair not a single one ofcourse
Maybe ill give them a try in my next JM project, but first i want to make sure they have a return policy

it's a set. It's not that expensive than I guess.
