I have a bunch of projects going and thought I'd give a sneak peek at this future Sitarguar (aka Jagsituar) featuring an Eyb Guitars sitar bridge. Wish me luck.

Wild, is it something you do for fun or do you sell them?SuperAxe wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:22 pmMy own ones Each pickup has 6 coils, one for each string.

Re: What's on your workbench right now?
The intention was both, the design is mostly complete. The six coils are mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) and allow for serial and parallel switching. They are noise canceling as well. I have PCBs for Gretsch style Dynasonic pickups (as per the photo) and also completed a PCB for humbucker format. P90 PCB format remaining to do. I need to finalise the housing and then some wax potting testing as they are quite microphonic in the current ebony timber housing. The beauty of having a single coil per string is that you can, in theory, sent each coil signal to an individual ampX-Ray Spex wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 1:31 amWild, is it something you do for fun or do you sell them?SuperAxe wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 6:22 pmMy own ones Each pickup has 6 coils, one for each string.

that's great! I've been working on some stereo guitar designs (not quite every string to a separate amp!) and it's very effective, would love to have a go on this

I'll keep that in mind. First finishing a guitar that I am building (which will have one of these pickups) then thinking of how to bring out the individual coils via the PCB.

Very nice, looks like you and I are building a similar guitar... Your top is arched and one piece, right? Mine is a book matched flat top....

The body was a cheap Kay style Archtop that the neck was all but broken off. It’s pressed one piece birch. I cut the sides down and it now has a center block like a es-335.SuperAxe wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 7:54 pmCould not resist itJakeNelson2002 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 5:59 amMy offset baritones have been put on the back burner.

What kind of wood is your neck made from?

Not yet on my workbench, but it's in the mail: new bridge for my Must-o-Sonic! It's an AlumiCrown, by Aluminati Guitars (though I'll use Highwood bent saddles with it). I got it in black.
But they have pretty colors too!
Can't wait for it to reach Singapore! I need to resolder a pot, my baby is in for some TCL.
