So, in looking stuff up the MG65 and the MG69 and MG65 have slightly different pickguard shapes.

I don't want want to make a full thread for something so trivial, but does anybody know a part maker who would make a custom Robert Smith buzz stop, by any chance? Look doesn't matter so much as long as it works, but silver/chrome is preferred, and length/height would differ from the original. Thanks!

If anything, I'd mcgyver something, but I's like something sturdier that I could ever make... Or do you think #D printed metal would work?

How about getting one of those - very long aliexpress link - and getting rid of the rollers? I assume the two posts at the side are tapped to receive the threaded rod. You could even remove said rod and force a piece of round, non-threaded stock in there. It is oddly hard to find 90 degree couplings in those sizes.

Here's a sneak peek at my Rosser hollow-body Jaguar build, custom-routed by Lomic Guitars for me. What you're seeing for the finish is two applications of Rubio's intense fumed pre-aging with one application of Rubio's ruby monocoat over it. Once it's done drying, I'll be loading some Creamery toaster pickups in it with Rickenbacker-style wiring, including a blend knob. I have a set of Stringjoy custom gauged strings for Nashville tuning ready to go.

No, but I'm excited to hear how this comes out. I'm trying to use different parts, different wiring, different themes for every build so I'm learning something new every time. Well, almost everything is new ... every build is essentially in the form factor of a Fender Jaguar.

I installed a piezo and preamp set from a Fender Uke today in my Pineapple. Hand tools only...







Don't worry, this is not a hugely expensive Uke ($250). But I did a tidy job and it sounds good.
