That was a good idea. What is the body weight now?
Body is 2050g, neck 500g. No idea what these usually weigh

Thanks, I was curious. It looks like a solid alder body would come in around 3.5-4lbs which means 1590-1825g. I'd say for walnut, you are doing good. Looks terriffic, too.

Oof that's rough!
You better watch out with that knot on the lower bout.
Are you going to fill them? Maybe some black epoxy?

On my workbench was my new bicycle crate:
Routed out the bottom and stained it black with india ink.

yeah i’ll move my outline some before i cut it. it has some black epoxy on it already and once i get it cut and thinned to size i think i’ll do some more. i am planning on chambering so i think i will put in some pieces across the grain to stabilize it some as there are some good size cracks in it. home depot ‘mahogany’ top

It's been a while! Here's what's next up on my set up bench. Almost all dialed in. Just need to finish the nut and get some pickup springs in there to bring the PUs closer to the strings where they need to be.

Thanks! Those are Guyatone spec Gold foil pickups under p90 size covers. Wound for me by Gemini Pickups. Rob at Gemini is doing some great stuff!
