The Shadowmaster

Post by Shadow » Thu Oct 05, 2006 10:10 pm

Hey, I'm new. Anyway, so a dude I know buys this crappy Squier Jagmaster to help a friend out who needed the money. I was talking with him about it and happened to offhandedly mention that if he could put a Jazzmaster/Jaguar trem assembly on it, I'd buy it from him.

Aug does not take a challenge lightly. It went from a sunburst 24" scale Jagmaster to a 25.5" Jazzmaster replica inspired by Robert Smith.

Looks cool. So he repositioned the bridge to adjust for the longer scale?

Are you thinking about putting a third pup in like Bob has on some of his .. ? I would be!

that's great - when I get some money together I'm gonna fix up my jagmaster, it's currently got a smashed strat neck on it, the 'guard is hanging off, and the original neck is on my 4-string squier strat...

I was thinking maybe a set of WRHB's and a jaguar plate at the top...

It looks good! So, did he completely fill the old tremelo rout from the Strat trem?

Yep, intonates perfectly.
I was, I even had the top 20 pickup just like his in hand, but decided at the very last minute not to.

tr00th!  It was a fun project...I plan on doing another Jagmaster/Jazzmaster conversion without filling in the trem, as a DIY thread for those interested in such a mod...
