DIY Sustainer/Drone String Synth Experiment Thing

hello everyone.
I have recently been messing with this, I know its not a guitar or an offset, but it is certainly a project.
An 8 string plank, with a sustainer system, that works with individual system for each string, including a graphic EQ pre amp to select harmonics of the driven string. It also has an external input so it can work like an FX device (Sort of ! and I need to add wet/dry). I am using buzzers instead of winding my own drivers. The single string pickups are made from relay coils (not my own idea Mark Guitierreze n youtube )
There is also a spinning wheel with a magnet on it underneath the strings to act as a mechanical sustainer.
A lot going on. You play it by switching the strings on an off and fine tuning EQ being sent to driven string. The way it is patchable together I can insert effects being sent to buzzers driving the strings (very wild). It is all a prototype, I am going to build a 16 string nice one now I have proof of concept, I want it be half folk instrument half modular synth vibe when I build the 'nice' one.
Check out these videos to get more idea what it is

Pure madness.

I love it! Looking forward to seeing the "nice" one built.

That's pretty fucking wild.

But if the finished product doesn't look like a 1960s scifi command console, a little part of me will die.

I love the utter madness of that.

Reminds me about a story I read on Guitargeek years ago, about someone who had a Strat but it was wired with a pickup that provided six outputs to six different amps which sounded amazing - can you imagine the note clarity when each amp is set to take care of just one string? And guitar solos would travel around the stage if you set them in a semi-circle... nuts to carrying around six different amps without a road crew though ;D I don't care how small they are. If anyone knows the player I'm referring to (apparently had some rep to them) let me know, name is long gone from my 🧠 mind

That is so wild. You are a very creative individual indeed. I’d love to try that thing out.
