And has anybody done this and does it work? Are there any issues with scale length and pickup placement? Is there anybody out there who makes a pick guard for a jaguar that accommodates two Jazzmaster pickups?
Asking for a friend..
Can you route a Jaguar body to accommodate Jazzmaster pickups?

I think Curtis novak makes JM pickups that will drop in a jag with only the pickguard needing modification if any. That would probably be the easiest solution.

Always thought about this.
One day I may get a squier JM and Jag and swop the pickups around.
you will need to measure the width of the JM pickup cover and check if it will fit in the bridge position, as the poles of the JM pickups should be where the poles of the jag pickups were.
The routing for the JM pickups will take a little bit of bit of work.
A sharp chisel and a steady hand would be alright !

It's been done many times. It can look very good if done right.
(oh, and never use a goddamn chisel).

No worries on that front! I’ve routed pickup cavities previously - but only on a Strat or a telecaster to make a humbucker route. Those were pretty easy to line up and figure out precisely where they go using a routing template. I’ve put together dozens of partscasters over the years, but this one seems a little more tricky, and I would probably bring it to a pro to do for me.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 10:11 pmIt's been done many times.
