Here's my JM baritone parts build.
Warmoth baritone conversion neck on a Squier CV body with a Charcoal Frost-esque nitro finish. The classic JM style pickups sound great. I use String Joy strings on this one, since those are some of the only baritone strings long enough for this vibrato. I think D'addario might be long enough, but they are too thin for my purposes.

Damn you did the refin? How many do you have under your belt?

Somewhere around 15? 20? I haven't kept count. This one is DupliColor and Deft, over the original (sunburst) Poly finish. The hard work of getting a smooth, level base, was already done, so it was only half the work that starting from scratch would have been.

Will this end up checking overtime? I have been meaning to start a refin for so long.

I don't have any checking in my finishes that were done with Deft lacquer. At least, not yet.

Hello y‘all! Happy new year & thanks for all the shares - really inspired me. My Goldie Thinline Baritone Jazzmaster Partsmaster is coming together rather nicely.



Didn’t had to do too much wood working, everything fit rather snuggly. I still had some electronics / pickups from a Squier CV JM lying around, so for now I threw those in this project. The Fender Subsonic Conversion neck looks pretty nice & well made. The nut on it was just pre-filed, so this is the challenging next task. I haven’t done that work for a baritone before, so I’m considering bringing the instrument to a luthier for this. Wouldn’t want to fuck it up at this stage.

I've had both a Subsonic neck and an EGC baritone neck on my Jazzmaster. My baritone EGC JM is my #1 guitar.

This turned out looking great!
