Extra Switch Usage Poll for my Lead Project

Hey Friends,

Getting around to assembling my Fender Lead project and have decided to go with the classic two switch control scheme. The first will be a three way toggle between the positions (H-S if anyone was curious), but the second 2 way switch is pretty up in the air.

What do ya'll think? I've had a kill switch on a guitar before and it was fun for live use. I think the Split for the Humbucker might not work with the one I chose as it's pretty low output. I had phase on my original Lead and although I did find uses for the sound I wouldn't say it's something I'd use all the time. Series/Parallel is new territory for me.

What say ye?!

Splitting the humbucker seems to be the most useful for me, so that's what I went with. I initially thought that a killswitch could be cool, but in practicality I don't think I've ever actually needed one. I can just step on my tuner or turn the volume knob down if I need to be quiet.

I tended to use it more for on/off trem style effects on my last guitar. I think its proximity to the other switch on this guitar might make that more difficult, though.

Basically, the Jaguar strangle switch. Which gets you a different version of 'bright' tone than a bridge pickup. The classic Dick Dale surf sound is probably the Jag neck pickup with the high pass filter on. It's also awesome for cleaning up a muddy sound when using thick fuzz pedals and stuff.
