Re: Strat body without usually drilled output jack
Is that an offset (JM sorta?) body just with a Strat configuration(ish)?
I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm very interested to see what it looks like finished (I haven't seen this Fender 66 that was mentioned - maybe I should look it up).

Rosser makes several things that seem close, and I bet he'd make exactly what you want. He seems to be selling via his ebay shop these days.

It is basically a strat made from a jazz bass body shape.

Yeah, it's funny how a little thing like the output jack changes the whole aesthetics of a guitar (in my eyes)
btw: these early 80's Elite models are damn rare and expensive :/
I love these little pickup switch-knobs! Finally a Strat player could activate the bridge and neck pickup at the same time like on a Tele

Bridge is bigger, and pickguard's lower left horn is longer too, it's not just removing the jack plate.FinallyBlossom wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 8:45 amYeah, it's funny how a little thing like the output jack changes the whole aesthetics of a guitar (in my eyes)

I like the pickup switching on the Elite.

He means the end of the pickguard near the jack is longer. It’s not the same pickguard shape.FinallyBlossom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 3:59 amHow do you come to this conclusion??

Here is what I'm working on. Three knobs for a G&L PTB circuit plus a face mounted jack hole. I've also altered the shape of the Strat body a bit.
Nevermind the six low E strings.

Very interesting how the body differs from the "standard" Strat
Yeah! Looks gorgeous. It reminds me of the G&L Fullerton Deluxe Skyhawk:

Re: Strat body without usually drilled output jack
My first strat style guitar I moved the jack to the pickguard. I can't remember what I filled the hole with. I did a hack job no doubt.
Also I like the volume knob further fom the strings on the Elite.

I think I filled it in and painted it.
