Looks gooooood! I like the grain lines showing through the finish.
Thanks. It is just one coat of spray paint and that is it.
You just have to appreciate success, eh?
haha...I'm thinking about refinishing it in a gloss black and actually putting some effort into it.

That would look good. Yes, some effort would be in order for that.

Everyone who has played my Jazzcaster loves the finish so it must be okay. I'll leave it alone until the kids are grown.

I've been working on refinishing this Jazzcaster and putting a different bridge pickup in it. I'm posting updates on my Instagram page for fun.

My name on there is ov7ov if you like Instagram and want to see some photos. I'll post some here, too.

It looks like this:

Thanks for the shielding tips. That red guitar looks really awesome! Got any more pictures?

Here is the Jazzcaster:

Looks great, what is the amp in the background? Love the wood grain grille cloth combo on that!

It is a Peavey Classic 50 4x10 combo that a friend refinished.

Here is a link to a corny iMovie I made for it:

I repainted it turquoise and put an Alnico II single in the bridge.

Thanks. This time around I filled in the wood. It got 3 thin coats of spray can paint and a light satin clear coat. It is kind of tacky to the touch and smelly.

Don't set it on anything you care about until the paint cures. :D

So it ended up with a Dark Turquoise with a semi-gloss satin finish, a Fender Vintage 3-saddle bridge, and Dimarzio Area Hot T Bridge and Dimarzio Area T Neck pickup.
