Un-matching Headstock?
Not sure if this is the right place, but does anyone have examples of JMs or Jags (preferably the former) with headstocks that are painted, but DON'T match the body? Wondering if this could ever look cool under the right circumstances
The only one I can think of is the Jag that Oliver Ackermann plays in this (amazing) Death By Audio video

Here’s a thread on mismatched headstocks.

You can guess the age of a APTBS video by the state of his Jag, there's about half of that Jag left nowadays.MC3 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 12:34 pmThe only one I can think of is the Jag that Oliver Ackermann plays in this (amazing) Death By Audio video

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Another of the black headstock variety, this was my dream Jazzer build from a few years ago with a Coronado neck and a Deep Seat Guitars body:

Re: Un-matching Headstock?
Black headstocks are a pretty safe mismatch. Matching the headstock to the pickguard color can usually works pretty well too. All my guitars that have painted headstocks don’t match the body. I’ll try to get a group pic up this week.

Mismatched, but the pickguard brings it together:

I never pass up a chance to post this. I've thought about adding a headstock decal but prefer it plain black.
