Meteora HH and Custom Morgan Finished Pg. 5 ;)

Post by HNB » Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:39 pm

I am working on two different builds right now. Gathering parts while the body and guards are made. :D

The first one up to work on is based off of a Shaun Morgan Schecter. I like that guitar but I am not a fan of the headstock and I like contours. I am going to try to do german carve with contours. I also changed the guard a bit. It should look sort of like the Morgan mixed with a Gretsch. It will be full scale. This is sort of the idea.

The second is basically a Meteora HH with a Fender hardtail bridge instead of TOM. I am going to do white on white with black hardwear and use a Peavey neck because the headstock is more pointy and I think will match the body shape better. :)

I already worked on the Meteora neck. It has nice flame. I have the old logo off so I can apply a new one. I am going to call it a Heretic and put active pickups in it. :D

I always thought those Schecters looked pretty cool.

Nice! Those Peavey headstocks are one of the better non-Fender designs out there. It should look great on the Meteora.

I agree that the Peavey headstock is made for the Meteora. That'll be one fine guitar. I like the name 'Heretic' for it, too. :w00t:

The Meteora/Voyager shape is a love it/hate it kind of thing. I love it and built one shortly after Fender showed 2 at NAMM many years ago. I'm glad it's getting more love.

Love the hardtail on the Meteora, they should've done that in the first place instead of the TOM.

Agreed, the hardtail Fender bridge and Peavey headstocks are both improvements.

Thanks! That is how I felt when I saw the HH. “Woah that is cool I love humbuckers, but round headstock on pointy body and TOM? Ehh”

Loving that Schecter'ish one. The German carve with contours is really unusual. Nice one.
