Duo Sonic Project

I picked up a Duo Sonic for wicked cheap ($299 brand new) and have decided to make it my first project. I picked up a tortoise HS pickguard from Reverb. I plan to put a Dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and maybe a hot rail in the neck. Any other suggestions? I want nice cleans, but also like to get pretty grungy.
