Pots that fits black roller knobs

Post by strasurf » Tue Nov 06, 2018 10:37 pm

I'm building an offset guitar and for volume and tone knobs I need the black roller knobs used for rhythm circuit on Jag/JM, however I need the same pot values that are used on Stratocasters. Is it possible to find Stratocaster-valued volume and tone pots compatible with Jag/JM black roller knobs?

You would need 250k audio taper, mini pot with solid shaft, with shaft diameter matched to your roller knob hole size. And you're placing them on the standard rhythm circuit bracket, right ? No one makes a 250k audio mini pot specifically known to fit the JM/jag rhythm bracket AFAIK.

Hard to guarantee something like this Bourns will fit until you try it. What diameter are your roller knob holes ?

There are variations in roller pot shaft sizes used on US vs MIJ JMs, as mentioned here for CTS 50k JM pot ....
