Unfinished (Tele) body with voids/cracks in the front of the neck pocket - anything to worry about?
Bought an alder HH Tele body a while back from and just put it on a shelf but while I'm getting ready to send off my Jazzblaster body I pulled it out to maybe send off as well.
Noticed these two voids in the front of the neck pocket - before I invest in finishing, would you be worried about them deepening or becoming an issue down the line?

Might be tool marks? They don't go with the wood grain. I wouldn't worry. I would just wood fill it.

I would flood it with CA glue (superglue) just to be sure.

They are crossing the grain so they are unlikely to be splits or checks, I bet you can sand them out, looks quite shallow. Looks more like it got dragged against something.
Your glue joints are opening though, most likely not an issue, wood was not seasoned well enough probably and it will never move beyond aesthetic.

Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

I agree that is nothing to worry about. Drop fill with CA and sand.

If you think they might be dents, wet them with a rag and leave it over them while holding a clothes iron to the rag for a few seconds. It'll pop them right back out flush and they'll be gone forever.

Thanks y'all - I'm going to grab some CA glue from Home Depot and put in a little work before I send it off.
The seam separations have been there since new - not the best work from Guitar Mill, but I got it on sale and it seems like a barely 4 pound alder Telecaster body is a rarity these days.

They are scratches of router tearout or something like that for sure, definitely not cracks and nothing to worry about

Don't get CA at Home Depot! most of it is 'Gorilla' brand and they do a very poor job of marking if it is foaming or regular. The foaming CA is PITA and won't do what you want it to do. The regular CA will not wick into the crack, it might go a few mm but not far.wooderson wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 3:40 pmThanks y'all - I'm going to grab some CA glue from Home Depot and put in a little work before I send it off.

Get 'thin' CA at Hobby Lobby. It will wick down the cracks. I've seen it wick along a foot long crack in a board before.
Looks like timber checking.
