With Fender not publishing parts lists for Squier guitars like they do for actual Fenders, it's hard to tell exactly which tunomatic style bridge some guitars have. There is not just one style of Adjustomatic/tunomatic used by Fender/Squier. Even with a specified part number (ie on Fender guitars), exactly what the bridge radius and spacings may be is often unclear.

The Fender (not Squier) version of the J Mascis JM has a tunomatic with part number 0080365000 ...
https://reverb.com/item/15490830-fender ... 0080365000
https://darrenriley.com/store/fender-j- ... 080365000/
This is apparently made in Japan, and has ABR-style post screws and a retaining wire.

The Fender Classic Players have a tunomatic with part number 0076230000 ...
https://reverb.com/au/item/1602755-genu ... new-chrome
It is made in Korea, does not have a retaining screw, and looks like the posts are more Nashville-like (but probably metric since MIK).
Fender does describe this bridge as an "Adjusto-matic" but does not always use that term. Some Fender guitars' parts lists use 'TOM'.
https://shop.fender.com/en-AU/electric- ... l?rl=en_GB

There is at least one other TOM-style bridge used by Fender, the 0096187000 used on the Am Special JM ...
http://www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/Origi ... A_SISD.pdf
... plus the Am Special Mustang, and an odd Tele.

'Adjustomatic' IIUC is originally a Gretsch term/bridge ...
https://www.angela.com/gretschchromeadj ... 0485c.aspx

I did find this old sold listing for the Squier JMJM bridge, which does describe it as having a 9.5 radius. Maybe that is correct ?

I finally had a reason to take the strings off and use my new 3-D printed radius gauges. Here are some pictures:

At the 12 fret:

At the bridge:

That being said, I've been playing this thing a while and it's starting to feel like radius is actually a non-issue. I think I'm just used to Tele style bridges and not AOM style, and it feels different. But I'm noticing any real or imagined mismatch between the E strings a lot less than I used to.

Yep- if your e strings were higher, it makes sense the bridge radius is greater. And I agree- I learned to stop micromanaging things like action and just play the damn things- for the most part :)

I just bought one for $150. I haven't got it installed yet, but if it works good I'll be more than happy. Mines for a squire deluxe JM though which is essentially a red mascis.

Are they really worth $200 now that they're only available in UK?

I have one that was aged by Danocaster. Perhaps I should sell it!

I keep seeing them pop up on Reverb for $200 and then quickly disappear. So the market seems to think so. I only paid $300 for the guitar so im not gonna go that high. Shame how this has all turned out.

Idk...I own both. The staytrem is acting much better than my mastery. FWIW the mastery is installed on a JM Jag and the tech didn't replace the stock thimbles so that could be my problem...either way...they staytrem is a no brainer to me. No adjustments as the radius is matchesd. Seems very solid and hassle free. Really liking the staytrem over both masterys I've owned.

I'm super-new to all of this, so apologies if this is answered somewhere I haven't found yet, but I've seen heaps of threads where people mention using TonePros rolling TOMs on their JMJMs but never mention which specific model of bridge it is. I don't want to derail the thread, but can someone clue me in? Is it the TP6R, the TPFR, or something else entirely? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: I contacted James at TonePros directly and was told that the TPFR bridge will fit the J Mascis. I plan to buy one soon and will report back!

Good to know. That's a metric Nashville style roller tunomatic. I assume the advice from Tonepro means that this bridge fits into the existing JMJM post bushings (?).
http://www.tonepros.com/tpfr-tonepros-m ... r-saddles/

Tonepro doesn't show measurements but other sellers do, eg ...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/TONEPROS-TPFR- ... 2863059876
"Thread = 8mm x 1.25 Metric
Post to Post Spacing = 74mm
String Spread = Approx. 10.4mm
Post Cap Width = .23 Inches/ 6mm (Metric Flathead Post Top)
Radius = 12 Inch"

So radius apparently the same as the stock JMJM TOM, ie slightly different to the 9.5" neck radius.

10.4mm string-to-string spacing means 52mm for E-E.

From this technical drawing at the bottom of this page it looks like the post outer diameter (ie body hole size) is ~11mm .. (shouldn't be relevant if you can stick with existing JMJM bushings ) ...

Consider the Gotoh 510BN, a tunomatic with height-adjustable saddles and 52mm E-E spacing and 73.8mm post-post spacing ...

That's the last one I tried. I couldn't make it fit. The post holes are too small and the replacement pegs are too small to screw into the guitar as-is.
The details on the supposedly JMJM-compliant Tonepros' post hole threads being M8x1.25 (see earlier post) would suggest that the Gotoh 510BN TOM bridge with adjustable height saddles should fit the JMJM's bushings with the addition of ABR-to-metric-Nashville conversion posts, which have the M8x1.25 thread ...

I tried a knockoff of that TonePros roller bridge and it fit my Mascis perfectly... but it is taller than the stock ToM and i didnt want to shim, so i used a Wilkinson roller bridge.
Works so far!
