Dear fucking lord. Watching this guitar come together is like witnessing Batman's origin story.

I would definitely shoot a rich kid's parents for this guitar.

Shot with a dull brown monochrome colour palette with a smattering of cheesy black and white sections?

Boring and over-long with too much expositionary dialogue? ;)

More like watching dough rise. Mysterious and slow, but totally worth the wait. Plus it'll end up full of air pockets. :D

Seriously, this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, but did I miss a final photo? The most developed shot is very close but the surfaces are unfinished. Can't wait to see the finished guitar.

I totally forgot to update this thread with the awesome pictures Nico sent of the finished guitar!

You might have seen these on his NGD thread, but it's certainly a good idea to append this thread with the culmination of his efforts for posterity.

I think he did a fantastic job with the finish and the little visual touches and spec - the knobs fit the scheme beautifully and the pickguard really sets off the blue!

I was brought back to this thread because I am beginning another similar build, this time of a Jazzcaster / Telemaster take on the same idea. That can be found here:

Thanks all! And massive thanks again to Nico. I hope she is serving you well!

It really looks fantastic! I can't think of anything that could improve the looks. How can you improve on perfect? It's good to see the photos again. :?

...but does it have a matching hollowed-out headstock? ;D

Looks very nice indeed. Unfussy and elegant. 8)

Changed the pickguard to a more mint-green one - less cream/yellow :
