Hello -
New member here. I wanted to sign up because I'm actually starting to collect the pieces to a grail guitar for me - the Fender Toronado Deluxe (Small pickguard version). I found a new (undrilled) body on ebay, and have a MIM Toronado Neck on order (should be arriving tomorrow). I've also got a set of Gibson 490's that will go in - to truly make it a Gibson-esque guitar. What I don't have, and need help sourcing are the control cavity covers for the rear of the guitar.
Here's a pic I found of the back of a MIM Deluxe for reference. What I need are the ovalish cover as well as the diamond-shaped one.

I've reached out to a few custom pickguard makers - but wanted to ask if there's a place that can source the originals, or if say, an LP cover will fit the cavity for the pots.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Awesome dude! I've always loved the small-guard Toronados so you get a big thumbs up from me.
I'd just keep your eyes peeled on eBay, or if you get bored of waiting, make a cardboard tracing and have somebody make you up a set locally.
Good luck!

Thanks! I'll keep watching the bay' but may just send a tracing to a pickguard maker to cut them for me. Excited to get this one going!

Re: Toronado Deluxe - Cavity Covers Needed
Hey All - Just an update on this. I've found a couple places that will cut the plastics for me, but they need a tracing of either the covers themselves or the control cavities with mounting holes. Unfortunately, the control cavities do not have the mounting holes drilled in them - does anyone have covers they can trace for me, or an extra set they'd be willing to part with? This is for the small guard MIM Deluxe.

Make a template from your guitar, don't sweat the holes. When the cover arrives just drill & countersink the holes yourself-no big deal.
