Coronado Neck
I am looking for a Coronado neck to put on my jazz master. Something with block inlays. Does anyone have any ideas where I might find one. I have been looking on Craigslist and Ebay. There is one on Ebay but it isn't quite right.
Thanks

Re: Coronado Neck
The STRATosphere has them sometimes, since Fender reissued the model.
You could also just get a Jazzmaster neck with the right inlays and round off the sharp point on the headstock. I mean that's all Fender does...

Re: Coronado Neck
They show up on Reverb every now and them. There was one there the other day, but it is gone now.

I saw the black on Reverb and that is why I started to like the idea.

Re: Coronado Neck
Be very careful; reissue Coronado necks have a weird, non-standard neck heel. They are NOT drop-in replacements for a JM neck, unlike the vintage ones, which made for excellent JM replacement necks.Horsefeather wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 8:17 pmThe STRATosphere has them sometimes, since Fender reissued the model.

Re: Coronado Neck
I had one of the reissue Coronado necks on a JM. It fit great, intonated perfectly, etc.
Maybe you are thinking of the reissue Starcaster necks, I think those were a little bit weird.

Oh, you're absolutely right. It was the starcaster. Funny, because the Coronado is in the same MIC reissue line, I'm surprised that it had a normal neck heel.jasonpetzold wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 6:00 pmI had one of the reissue Coronado necks on a JM. It fit great, intonated perfectly, etc.

Re: Coronado Neck
The Starcaster neck is 22 frets without the overhang.
Warmoth makes a Starcaster headstock but on a neck with overhang. Not sure if anyone is tooled up to make a replacement neck for the reissues.

Good as the best. Bad as the worst!
