Thanks, everyone. It's super fun, and satisfying to do it all.
what is the weight on yours? mine is sitting around the 5.8kg mark.

Quick trip to the postal scale says:

9lbs 11oz / 4.39 kg.

Not *terrible,* but definitely not light.

Love it! I built my Jag with an MJT body and a Musicmaster neck of the same vintage last year- I learned to play on a Musicmaster and found a neck within 50 serial numbers of that one (in much better shape than my old one!), bought it and went to town. I did the Johnny Marr wiring and used Novak pickups and couldn't be happier.

In fact, I like it so much, I'm building a Jazzmaster with MJT/Musikraft parts as soon as MJT is done with the parts! Did the copper shielding tape work alright for you? As much as I love things being vintage-correct, I'm having a hard time justifying spending the better part of a hundred bucks buying shield plates from Fender when I *think* the tape is enough. Granted, a Jaguar isn't a Jazzmaster, but they're pretty close...

Thanks! The shielding tape works just fine. I'm still trying to figure out why the rhythm circuit tone control is unhappy, but I rarely use that stuff so it's not super urgent. Otherwise the guitar's a blast and I agree that the neck is really nice.

I just found this thread. Outstanding work! Ash can have some nice grain pattens and this one is top notch. Congrats.
