Bumblebee Telemaster Finished Pg. 3

Post by HNB » Thu May 31, 2018 2:36 pm

Projects help keep me sane. :) I think this will be a fun one. I got a Telemaster body from Warmoth. It is coming with HH config. I also have a Gotoh humbucker bridge coming and a black single ply matte pickguard. Maple tele neck also coming in. This is sort of what I am thinking except I will do black grain filler over it to give it some cool contrast.

Sort of this effect on a golden yellow body. (Hence the bumble bee.)

Pickups are Dimarzio PAF and Norton pickups. Will have 1meg pots and a normal three way switch. I will add more pictures as parts come in.

If it's a bumblebee Telemaster with DiMarzios, are you doing their black and yellow pickups?

Opportunity missed! This might be the only guitar I have ever heard of where that bizarre humbucker colour scheme would work!

And you know how rockabilly people put like dice and pin-up girl decals on their guitar? Maybe you could get a giant decal of this for the back:

LOL!

Well I guess if someone has a set of those pickups they would want to trade me for what I have already, it would work. LOL

My grainfiller is all dried out so I ordered more. Don't want to risk rehydrating what I have and it sucking.

Grainfiller day! :) I think, for my first time doing this, it went pretty well. There is a degree of random with these things and I think overall it turned out pretty well. I like how the back looks better than the front though. Funny how that happens.

The Front

I don't know what it is, but I really love Telemasters. It's probably that pickguard shape and size. This is a fun one! Know what'd be cool is a black anodized guard...
