Its looking great!

Those old supro pickups sound fantastic, I'm working on a guitar with one in the bridge and a neck p90.

The new supro ones were designed by roadhouse pickups and are pretty good copies of the originals - just with fancy covers.

That guitar looks great!

I have a spare blank guard that I might muck around with and put the Silverfoil in for the bridge position and then I'll have an Esquire style Strat.

I have to say, I REALLY love this guitar as is. I haven't used it in any kind of band context, so I can't speak for how good it is with that or if I'll miss having tonal options like a bridge pickup or a middle position, but right now it's really wonderful.

I put some spare flatwound strings, that I've had forever, on the low three strings and it really took the guitar to a new level. Thuddy and clear and bold sounding.

Love it! :)

Really cool, and I bet it sounds AMAZING with the flatwounds. :-*

It certainly does!

It's also given me GAS for more oddball guitars. I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the weekend and have seen a few cool ones and I want them all.... Particularly a single pickup Guyatone that just looked so cool and played pretty damn nicely. Too expensive for what it is but, dang!

So interesting! And the vibrato is insane on it. Crazy divebombs.

That seriously sounds great, Steven. I love your soulful playing and wish you’d share more of your music, generally speaking.

I really love this guitar but I'm starting to feel the itch for a bridge pickup now... BUT WHAT?!

I want the Supro pickup for sure! They're nearly the same price as an entire lapsteel though... Might also consider, still, a Thunderbird pickup OR a Firebird pickup.

Who knows?! Just going to enjoy the guitar as is for now because it's great!

Added the bridge pickup to the guitar and a jazzmaster switch to go back and forth between the two (ignoring the middle position, while functional is out of phase). I'll be trying to set it up for a series wiring in the middle position, but I'll need to get a new switch for it. For now, it's fine as-is.

Thanks, Maggie! I think you'd dig it. This is a really great guitar! The silver foil in the bridge gets pretty damn twangy, too. I posted a little video of me playing some Merle Haggard on Instagram. Twangy!

I'm not quite set on the greyish-white pickguard, but we'll see! Looks a little boring currently. *shrug*

I love those pickups. So very much.

I'm not sure I'm following you on IG. Link?

You know what I'm going to say about that pickguard, right? NEEDS TORT. :D :P

Oof, it'd need to be a Spitfire tort (or maybe like a weirdo Coodercaster-style Tigerstripe) but that'd be the most expensive part of the guitar! :derp:

I'll pm you my Instagram. I'm following you! ;)

I liked the stark simplicity of the single pickup iteration, but I bet that bridge pup sounds great!

Not sure what shipping would run, but I have an extra on/off/on switch for an aborted Duo Sonic project kicking around that should give you that series position. PM me if you want it :)

I dug it too, to be honest. But it's a lot more usable this way. Having a neck AND bridge pickup is just satisfying for me. Now if I could just get a good middle-pickup/both sound...

And oh! I'm interested. If you could get a shipping quote, I'd take it off your hands for sure. I was going to try and source one locally, but *shrug*

You know, I'm thinking that a black guard would look pretty rad.
