Hello guys!
Recently I got a brand NOS 2014 Mark Hoppus P-Bass. The bass plays and feels great, but I kind miss the tone knob.
So, based on the knob spacing of my Flea Jazz Bass Control Plate (JB 62 circuit - 2 knobs / 1 Jack), I'm going to make a new 3-ply white pickguard and do some minor routing on the body.

Here's some pics.

Good idea. While I rarely touch the tone knob on a guitar I use it all the time on bass.

Pickguard and wiring done.

Tomorrow I'll do the body routing and put everything together.
Can't wait to have my Offset Precision Bass (with a tone knob hehe)

Everything done!
The routing was way simpler than I expected. Just a little wood removal.

Here's how it looks now:

And here's my bassy offset family:

Hope you guys like it!

Great mod. I agree that a tone knob is even more useful on bass than it is on guitar. Couldn't live without one, personally.
