Overdue Build Pics! Featuring Deed_Poll Body!
Back in November I had Deed_Poll make me a custom roasted ash body. Fast forward to January and it shows up at my door step. The quality is above and beyond and the body is amazing! I knocked it out pretty quick besides a few things here and there that keep me. (Mostly work and lack of time.) I got it finished up a while ago and realized it needs some pics! I was so excited I didnt get as many pictures as I would have liked but oh well
Enjoy! They go in order from when the body showed up to me through finished product! The neck is a Tru Oil finished warmoth 59 profile neck. Ebony board with compound radius. I put 6 coats of wipe on poly over the body and called it good. I love the way it feels. The WRHB's are just stock reissues for now, and they work really well for my music actually! Since i finished it i got rid of the mastery and just put a normal JM bridge on it. I like the overall feel of it more believe it or not! I'm sorry if these pics come out huge as I'm not very savvy at forum picture linking.

Yeah it goes very dark indeed doesn't it! I hope it's not too heavy. It's a risk you run with slab body Jazzmaster styles. I find the upside is that the distance between the strap pins distributes the weight nicely across the shoulders.

I dont mind the weight! I came from Les Pauls so 9 and a half isnt bad! I like the tone of heavier guitars too! The notes carry more weight!

You might find you prefer a high-friction rocking bridge over a low-friction fixed bridge like the Mastery. That's certainly my preference.
It's a real shame because the vibrato unit is excellent, but John Woodland refused to sell me the vibrato unit OEM because I prefer the rocking bridge designs like the Stay Trem... Which is why I developed the Clubmaster around a Stetsbar vibrato, which works beautifully, but is a little different in design from the traditional offset vibrato.
