Toronado Body
Does anyone know where I might be able to acquire a Toronado body? Or possibly have a full scale one built?

Re: Toronado Body
I had one built by one eyed jacks guitars. The body was sound but the pickguard didn't fit right.

Our very own Deed_Poll announced in his thread that he is about to start offering slab-body toronados, channel-bound thinline toronados, and 24" (jaguar/mustang neck) toronados!
I've got two projects underway with him and can vouch that he is great to deal with. It might not suit you if you're in a hurry, as I don't know exactly when his design will be ready for production, but I'm sure he would tell you if you Pm'd him!

He’s actually in the process of building me a 25.5in Toronado body as we speak.mbene085 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 2:17 pmOur very own Deed_Poll announced in his thread that he is about to start offering slab-body toronados, channel-bound thinline toronados, and 24" (jaguar/mustang neck) toronados!

Re: Toronado Body
Haha that's what I think to myself every time I start a cut!
So here it is off the machine. As always, replete with tooling marks, fingerprints etc. but of course they will be gone very soon!
I routed the body to accept either HBs or WRHBs with a simple pickguard swap. I expect most of these I make will be for one or the other, so it will probably save some time down the line
I can't wait to make a few more! Next one will be channel- bound back-capped, Thinline with arm contour and 1/2" roundover front & back... So from the front it will look exactly like a solid body Toronado only with an f-hole
You can see I have moved the neck pocket out from the body quite a lot to achieve the full scale. I think it would look a bit strange with a 21-fret neck, but at least fret access is improved as well
Cheers!

I'm working on one with a Jazzy trem but extremely slowly unfortunately. It doesn't look nearly as good as this one unfortunately...s_mcsleazy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 2:14 pmdoes the return of the toronado mean someone can post the picture of the guy who looks like me with the toro with jazzy trem?

Re: Toronado Body
Need a solderer/electronics wizard? Seriously Dan, this looks amazing!!
It's hard to tell, but is it slightly wider than a JM, like traditional Toronados? I didn't know that, but I read somewhere that Toronados were a little bit wider (from the bass side to the treble side) than a JM.
