European Stores for upgrade stuff
Hi guys.
New to OSG.
So just scored a red CIJ jazzmaster for €500. Including hardcase. Great deal!
I want to carry out all the typical mods - Antiquity II pups, red tortoise shell pick guard, new wiring, etc.
But where in Europe do you guys buy from? The shipping/tax from the States is incredibly expensive.
All advice welcome!

You can find lots of parts on www.ebay.co.uk (no custom fee inside the EU) from the many small shops in the UK
Also www.ebay.es has a lot of luthier tools - search on different ebay sites inside the EU and you'll find different stuff
I order original Fender parts and small stuff from www.thomann.de occasionally and sometimes customworldguitarparts
Overall I think I buy most of the parts on www.ebay.com from the US though - even with international shipping a lot of parts are cheaper with the dollar-euro conversion and there is no tax on smaller fees under 50 or 70eur (at least in Austria)

Dr Pete, where are you based in Europe? There are a few really good pickup makers on our side of the world, including Mojo Pickups & Creamery in the UK. Well, come to think of it, I seem to remember Mojo is swamped in orders (Waterslide Guitars must be keeping him busy full time!), but you can get a set from Creamery for £116, which is considerably cheaper than a set of Antiquities and at least as good

I'd offer you to wind them myself if you were in France, but I destroyed my left thumb on a circular saw last month, which has put a serious hamper on all winding operations for a while

Re: European Stores for upgrade stuff
Beside the fact that I bought a flawless Squier directly neck from him, and he was a friend of the luthier who built my guitar, lots of people have had problems with him, so I wouldn't recommand.
I used to buy lots of things on axesrus ( https://www.axesrus.co.uk/ )
Rockinger is great (same boss as Duesenberg's)
I order more and more on ebay.
