How difficult was treating the fretboard? What was your process?

These are the only necks I've ever done & I had no prior experience with guitar building or assembling. Treating the fretboard couldn't have been easier. I just put a bit of Tru Oil on paper coffee filter and rubbed it into the fretboard. Keep in mind they were maple fretboards. I'm not sure if it would work with rosewood or ebony. After I rubbed it in, I checked for any little pools of oil around the frets & wiped off any excess with a fresh coffee filter. When I was done, I hung the neck up & let it dry for 24 hours, then repeated the process the next day. When I felt I had the result I wanted, I let it dry for a few days & then buffed the neck with an old t-shirt.
