Sentell pickups makes some funky stuff. Check out the LS3 a little past halfway down the page...

He makes all sorts of stuff, and I'm sure he'd make you one that's wound however you'd like it. I've not bought from him personally, but I've heard nothing but good about his pickups.

Don't know if they'd end up being too wide or what.

Hey iodine74, came across that post as it was quoted in a new one from HNB...
Can you please tell me a bit more about the blue one (first photo, black pickguard,...) what body (& colour) is this? + a JM JM neck?
I'm about to do something similar colourwise... or make it a sonic grey - matching headstock B&B JM with body binding,... we'll see! :-)

The blue one is also JMT. I think they had it listed as OBM, but it's obviously got a bit of the aged/yellowing thing going on to make it slightly turquoise-ish. All 3 bodies I've had, have come from ebay auctions (cheaper that way generally). But in all 3 cases the photos they had on ebay were a little darker than the guitar appears in real life.

The neck on that blue one is a Squier VMJM I got second hand on either Reverb or eBay (still has stock tuners and nut). Bridge is a Japanese one... I think it might be the one I had in my CAR CIJ -- i think they got mixed up when I took the Mastery out of the CIJ to put in the purple one (I'd purchased another bridge from ebay so had two somewhat similar bridges hanging around). Trem on that one is AVRI. Pickguard Is a $9 one i got from Stratosphere and it doesn't fully cover the upper pickup cavity... so I've learned not to skimp on PGs from now on.

Oh.. and there is something about that body. Its just feels good... feels like it's got a vibe to it that even the purple one doesn't have, like you can feel the music in it wanting to come out. An that's why, even though I've got some financial needs at the moment, I can't let that one go.
