Series wiring with no 3 way switch?

Post by nateispro » Mon Nov 20, 2017 6:19 pm

Hey guys, I was wondering is it possible to wire up a set of JM pickups to a just a slider switch and the standard volume and tone control so its either both pickups in series or both parallel? I dont really switch between neck or bridge and would like simplified wiring. Thanks guys!

I was looking at my wiring diagram, it shows the lead from the slider switch and the bridge pickup lead both going to the 3 way switch. Can i just omit the switch and tie these leads to the input of the volume pot?

Yes you can. Just wire the pickups directly to the series-parallel switch, and the output of that goes to your volume and tone. Very simple! Let me know if you have any troubles.
