I have never liked either quilted top OR pearloid guards, but the two together looks PHENOMENAL!!!! I really like it, and that surprises me, which is always a good thing :D Subscribed!!!

Since you say it's unorthodox, what scale length is this? The mad scientist who sold me my Cobain Mustang built a 25.5" scale Mustang.

I don't like felt washers (look silly imo especially white ones) but I saw you can get leather ones and I'm more on board with that.
That's a brilliant idea. I'll have to try that.

Following this, as I too have a (slightly less) unorthodox Mustang build coming up... I actually emailed The Creamery about it yesterday. :D
Looking forward to that. I'm really looking forward to hearing these Creamery pickups. Will of course try and record some stuff and post for you guys to hear.

A treble bleed connected to the volume pot as well as hot and ground connected to the kill switch...

Image

Another view of the treble bleed cap and resistor as well as parts of a cable soldered to the jack ...

And the cable connected to the volume ...

Image

And a cable going between the volume and the switch ...

Image

The only thing left here is to connect the hot outputs from the two pickups to the switch ...

I'm 100% invested in the outcome of this. Just picked up some of the Burns Mini-Trisonics with the intention of putting two in a Mustang, so I'll be curious to see how this Creamery version works out for you!

Did you go with ceramic or alnico?

Good question ... hmm ... what did I get? I have to check in my mail thread with Creamery ... One sec ...

Ah, there it is. Alnico. 5 to be exact.

I'm also looking forward to hearing these pickups. Going to be real fun as soon as I get it ready. Perhaps this weekend.

Your build is AWESOME! I love the choices of elegant simplicity in your electronics and how you've overcome the fitment challenges. Shows great aptitude. I am going a different route with my Jaguar build as the electronics go. Since it is an HH setup I will be trying to use the standard switches for series / parallel and in / out of phase control. With coil split pots it should provide a fantastic number of possibilities. I have a lot of research to do and you are an inspiration to me! Thanks so much for all of the pictures too! Tom

Wicked. The only demo on YouTube of the Sonic 60's is the alnico 2 version, which I found didn't have the chime of a proper tri-sonic. The originals are ceramic, as are the minis I bought, but I'll be excited to hear what your A5 model sounds like. Should be a fair bit clearer than the A2.

Thank you very much.
And you're welcome. I've managed to do some more stuff this afternoon/night and will try and post more pictures of that as well.

Regarding your HH Jaguar - I've got a Fender Super-Sonic and it also has two humbuckers in it. I wanted to do some modding to it a while back and ended up putting a S-1 switch in the tone pot. Since that switch is a 4pole switch it allowed me to make both pickups switch between normal series mode to parallell mode with one click. Pretty neat.

Yes, I'm really looking forward to getting it done. Can't wait to hear what it'll sound like and how it will feel playing it. I never had a Mustang before. I think this might very well be my all time favourite guitar model.
Unfortunately I'm still missing some crucial parts, but in the mean time I'll continue working on it. I got the bridge in place as well as the pickguard today. Will post some more pictures of that soon.

This is going to be the coolest Mustang. I love the finish and with that neck, it's outstanding. There are so many things you're doing that make this build a special one. Thumbs-up, Logrinn.

Thanks so much , Rgand! :-*

I got some work done yesterday, but it'll take at least a week before I can get it finished (waiting for parts).
In the meantime I'll try and post some more pictures of the progress.
