New Bridge Day! 12 string jaguar

Post by thomas2508 » Fri Nov 10, 2017 4:32 pm

I've been scouring ebay for years trying to find a vintage coronado xii bridge and finally one popped up. I had to add bridge posts from an old mastery bridge i wasn't using to make it work. To my suprise with a setup it works insanely well with my guitar. I was just using an old jag bridge and that worked fine but this is so much better and I can now intonate my octave string. The body is a full scale ADH body and the neck is from a 90's Japanese strat. Here's some pics.

Sorry to resurrect this. But I notice that you mounted the bridge behind the pickguard. did you replace the pickguard? You drill into the body to mount it?

I somehow missed this the first time around. That is VERY nice!

There's definitely a small niche market for anyone wanting to produce quality 12 string offset bridges (with individual saddles). I remember when a few people tried to get Staytrem into it; unfortunately it didn't get far.

It's a custom body by ADH...he's a very talented member here.
It's a full-scale jaguar body made for 25.5" necks...hence the odd bridge placement. He also made the pickguard.

The scale/conversion thing confuses me so hard. Is it not possible to simply route a Jazzmaster as if it were a Jaguar thus keeping the bridge/trem in its normal spot?

Either way this is a dank as hell guitar!

Do you ever use the wang bar? I’ve been thinking about a 12-string with a wang bar.

Actually I switched it to a hard tail plate to make it easier to re-string...but yeah it can definitely be done with a normal jazzmaster vibrato.
