I LOVE the frequensator!

Only problem with this design is that it's not straight at the butt along the centreline... which is why this one's getting a stop tailpiece. I've thought about redesigning a step into the design to sit obscured behind the trapeze, or to make my own mounting hardware at the right angle for a frequensator / trapeze to be used.

Right?? That's my favourite tailpiece, for sure. If only it wasn't difficult finding a set of heavy flats to cover the extra distance on that G.
Interesting, about the shape dilemma. I didn't even think about that. Hmmmmmm...

It does open up some possibilities for some sexy hardware design, though...

if no frequensator, that tailpiece that was used on vintage Gretsch such as double jets (sort of the one that Malcom Young had on his guitar).

A cool name containing Hollow would be fun

Hollow Ringer :D

I don't think I've commented in this thread yet. What an amazing build this is turning out to be. That render's probably one of my favourites of yours. Very classy, quite understated too.

As to a name, this particular guitar has that fantastic gunmetal blue shade to it, kind of like storm clouds. Seeing as Cyclone & Tornado have already been taken, what about NOR'EASTER.

"A cyclonic storm occurring off the east coast of North America. These winter weather events are notorious for producing heavy snow, rain, and tremendous waves that crash onto Atlantic beaches, often causing beach erosion and structural damage. Wind gusts associated with these storms can exceed hurricane force in intensity. A nor'easter gets its name from the continuously strong northeasterly winds blowing in from the ocean ahead of the storm and over the coastal areas".

Has HURRICANE or TYPHOON been used yet?
