My own offsets
Hi,
how I told in my introduction, I show my two offsets.
The bodies were build by my own, the other parts are parts that I had in my garage or I bought them.
The bodies are about 10% smaller then the originals. I think with the T-style neck it looks better.

Really cool, you did a fantastic job. Getting some serious 80s vibes from these.

Re: My own offsets
I like them! I LOVE that blue-ish/purple color on the "front" one though I usually prefer the JM headstock shape on JM shaped bodies, but with no pickguard I think the Tele neck is PERFECT on them. Nice job!!

Re: My own offsets
Thank You for your good words!
The colors are from the RAL-system (I forgot the number maybe it was 5022 or 5002 )
and RAL 5012 lightblue (lichtblau).

Wicked! The dark blue one reminds me of those old Showmasters:
Except yours is way more tasteful with the hardtail, P90s, and JM shape.

Re: My own offsets
Love the P90 one. Swap those for lipsticks and that's my dream configuration. Someday I'll have a 25.5" scale offset with lipsticks, but for now it will have to wait.

Re: My own offsets
For those who are interessted. I was inspired bei a german guy who has build his own offset in a very inexpensive way and without those special luthier tools. So I decided to try it by myself. My first try was the lightblue one with humbuckers.
I took two boards of pine (former shelves) drew the outline and sawed the holes for the PUs and electronics etc. with a jigsaw. Then I sticked the boards and sawed the contour. The next steps were filing, sanding and painting and sanding and painting and ...
Putting all parts together was absolutely no problem with the blue one - it was a lucky strike (I remarked it after assembling the purple beast).
The second try should make every thing better, but things that has worked fine coincidentally now made problems and needed a lot of extra time.
My Conclusion: it is possible to build my own offset, but I am far away from reproducing a good result.
For the first I am satisfied (my wife asked me where all those guitars should stay )
Maybe when I am retired I will build the ultimate offset.
... to be continued in a few years

I like these a lot. The Tele control plate ties the Tele neck into it. They look really good.
