I need help with a JM and/or a Jag wiring diagram!
Hi!
So I'm about to start assembling a Jazzmaster and a Jag and I've been thinking about the wiring.
What I want to accomplish for the Jazzmaster is a standard rythm and lead circuit (all switches and knobs work like on an original) BUT I want push/pull switches for the volume and tone control for using the pickups in series (volume control) and for a set bass cut (tone control).
I think it would be possible to do but I'm having a hard time to figure it myself. Can anyone around here make a diagram for it?
I also stumbled upon this thread http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vie ... =8&t=50626 and that wiring would be perfect for the Jag. However, it seems like the first pictured diagram is not working correctly and the picture that depicts the working one is gone. Does somebody have it?
Thanks so much in advance!

Ok, I made an attempt. I will not take responsibility for any eye damage this might cause.
In this diagram both pickups are sent to the rhythm switch via the 3-way switch. Will it work?

I'll look at it more in depth later, but your drawing actually looks really good! Wiring-wise that is

I made on for the Jaguar as well. Really not sure the bass cut will work. How does it look?

Sorry it took so long, crazy week! The Jazzmaster schematic is perfect. Everything should work well there, BUT, be aware that there will be a dead spot if you have the series-parallel switch in the series mode and have the 3-way toggle set to the bridge pickup. For series, the 3-way toggle has to be set in the neck pickup position. Nothing wrong with that, just the way it is.
For the Jaguar schematic, everything is good except the bass cut switch. It might work ok, but it might work better if you wire it like this:
Otherwise, it's all good

Thank you so much for taking the time and getting back to me!Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 2:06 pmSorry it took so long, crazy week! The Jazzmaster schematic is perfect. I have now finished the builds and tried both schematics and I can confirm, they work! I am a bit amazed actually. Just like you predicted, there is a dead spot on the Jazzmaster 3-way switch when the series switch is activated (on the neck position) but I kind of like it, it's like having a kill switch.
Here they are!

That picture needs some sort of onomatopoeic action word to go with it. Very nice.
